Ancient Indian ethos mention "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (World is One Family) and hence has been propagating peace and planetary welfare.

Sri Aurobindo in his message on 15th August 1947 mentioned ...The third dream was a world-union forming the outer basis of a fairer, brighter and nobler life for all mankind. That unification of the human world is underway; there is an imperfect initiation organised but struggling against tremendous difficulties. But the momentum is there and it must inevitably increase and conquer. Here too India has begun to play a prominent part and, if she can develop that larger statesmanship which is not limited by the present facts and immediate possibilities but looks into the future and brings it nearer, her presence may make all the difference between a slow and timid and a bold and swift development. "

World Federation and India's Role in building World Peace:

Sir Arcot Ramaswamy Mudaliar, the leader of the Indian delegation to the San Francisco Conference in 1945, in his concluding message at the United Nations, had said:

"I go back with the hope, maybe the assurance, that here at San Francisco we have taken a step, we have made a move; we have advanced; and that sooner or later, perhaps sooner rather than later, there will be that far-off Divine event to which the whole creation moves: the convocation of the Parliament of man, the establishment of the Federation of the World.....

Provisional World Parliament sessions commenced in 1982. At the 16th session, world citizens firmly resolve to strengthen the world governance and pay rich tributes to all those who have immensely contributed.
